Advanced Diplomas

Our Advanced Diploma of Business is both popular course which offer you a variety of options after graduation. The course is designed for people with existing jobs or substantial business experience, but will also be suitable for those displaying an attitude for a higher education in business. You will graduate with a range of new skills and the confidence to go out there and find challenging, interesting and financially rewarding jobs.

Course Description

These courses are suitable for individuals with substantial experience in senior administrative roles who want to broaden their expertise across a wider range of business functions.

The qualification is also designed for those candidates who possess significant theoretical business skills and knowledge, and wish to consolidate these and build pathways to further educational or employment opportunities.

Course Duration/Mode/Fees

Full time: Total: 52 weeks (46 study weeks +6 weeks break) (1 year) - 4 Terms
Tuition Fees: 5 x AUD$1,700.00 Total AUD$8,500.00
Application Fees: AUD$ 250.00 (applicable on new enrolments only, once off fee)
Resources Fee: AUD$ 500.00

  • Online (Not more than 25% of the course)

Entry Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or over
  • Completed Year 12 (or equivalent)
  • International students only must meet:

    • Minimum 5.5 IELTS score & above or equivalent.

    (Those students who do not meet the minimum English requirement will need to package this program with an English Course before proceeding to the Advanced Diploma of Business).

Assessment

All units of competence will be assessed using a selection of tools (Portfolios, Reports, Role-plays, Practical observations, Case studies, Questioning, Simulation activities, and written tests)

Recognition of Prior Learning

An application can be made for RPL when the learner believes that they have already attained the necessary skills and competencies elsewhere (Work, other study etc.). An RPL application form is available from the Learner Administration Services upon request.

The learner will be required to provide documentation to support their application. The application will be processed and an assessment made in accordance with the KCBT RPL and AQF recognition Policy and Procedure

Credit Transfer

Students who can prove that they already hold any of the Units of Competency specified above, may be eligible to receive a credit transfer for those units. They will need to submit a verified Certificate or Statement of Attainment issued by a RTO for recognition purposes.

Learners who are awarded a credit transfer will be exempted from completing those units at KCBT

  • BSB50215 Diploma of Business
  • BSB50415 Diploma of Business Administration.

Pathways from this Qualification

Exit Points
  • Units of Competency are delivered as standalone sections of the course, allowing enough evidence to be gathered to enable the Assessors to make a competency judgement. Should a learner not be able to complete all the Units of Competency required to be awarded this qualification they will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the individual Units for which they have been assessed as competent.
  • Upon successful completion of the full program.
After achieving the Advanced Diploma of Business, learners may undertake other Advanced Diploma qualifications or HigherEducation courses in a wider range of business functions.

Students may be able to receive exemptions from some subjects based on this qualification.

KCBT policy prevents students under the age of 18 from registering in KCBT courses or programs.
