This course is delivered online and available to Australia local/domestic students.  The qualification is suitable for individuals who are interested in taking the nationally accredited 10118NAT – Diploma of Social Media Marketing online with KCBT.

The course will enable students to learn how to use social media platforms to promote a product, service or brand. The focus of this qualification is on building social media marketing strategies incorporating different online and social media platforms.

Entry Requirements

Enroling students must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or over
  • Completed Year 12 (or equivalent)
  • Intermediate Computing Skills

Minimum 5.5 IELTS score & above or equivalent. Those students who do not meet the minimum English requirement will need to package this program with an English Course before proceeding to the 10118NAT Diploma of Social Media Marketing.

All units of competence will be assessed using a selection of tools including:

Recognition of Prior Learning

An application can be made for RPL or CT when the learner believes that they have already attained the necessary skills and competencies elsewhere (Work, other study etc.). An RPL/CT application form is available from the reception or KCBT website. (please refer to KCBT RPL/ CT Policy)

Credit Transfer

Learners, who can demonstrate they already hold any of the Units of Competency specified above, may be eligible to receive a credit transfer for those units. They will need to submit a verified Certificate or Statement of Attainment issued by a RTO for recognition purposes.

Learners who are awarded a credit transfer will be exempted from completing those units at KCBT

Pathways from this Qualification

After achieving the 10118NAT Diploma of Social Media Marketing, learners may undertake:

  • BSB60215 – Advanced Diploma of Business
  • BSB61315 - Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication
  • other Advanced Diploma qualifications or tertiary qualification.
  • Students may be able to receive exemptions for some subjects based on this qualification.
Exit Points
  • Units of Competency are delivered as standalone sections of the course, allowing enough evidence to be gathered to enable the Assessors to make a competency judgement. Should a learner not be able to complete all the Units of Competency required to be awarded from this qualification they will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the individual Units for which they have been assessed as competent.
  • Upon successful completion of the full program.
